The Delano Police Department Narcotic Investigations Team works hard to stop the illegal distribution of illegal drugs within the city. However, drug abuse continues to be a problem that is getting worse. The use of meth is of concern.

In 2008, Kern County reported 37.7 percent of felonies were linked to meth-related charges. By 2014, that number rose to over 50 percent.
